Sanchi is a famous world heritage site that is known for housing the stupas that contain leftovers of Buddha. Some of the popular tourist destinations of Sanchi include Ashoka Pillar, Great stupa, Temple 17, stupa 3 and Mauryan apsidal. In addition, one can also visit Temple 40 in the southern part of Sanchi and temple 45 in the eastern part of Sanchi. The great stupa in Sanchi was specially made by Emperor Ashoka.
Overnight stay Sanchi.
This morning proceed to visit Udayagiri caves, about 15kms from Sanchi close to the town of Vidisha. Udayagiri caves are rock-cut cave shrines, dating from 320-600 A.D.
On the way we also visit Gyaraspur village.
It is located near Vidisha (35 km) and Sanchi. Gyaraspur was of considerable importance in medieval India. The place has several ruins of several old Hindu, Jain and Buddhist places of worship. These include Maladevi Temple, Hindola Torna and the Bajramath Temple.Dost Mohammad Khan, Nawab of Bhopal acquired the control of Gyaraspur in the early 18th century. In the evening we will reach Udaipur.
Udaipur is a town in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh near Ganj Basoda. It is the site of a well-preserved Śhiva temple, a monument of national importance protected by the Archaeological Survey of India.
After completing the sightseeing there is a departure, you will be transferred to Bhopal airport/station for onward Journey.
